DIY Coffee Recipes to Pair with Your Ne-Mo’s Treats

To celebrate National Coffee Day on September 29th, we’ve put together a list of our favorite coffee recipes that are perfect for enhancing the warm and comforting flavors of Ne-Mo’s treats.

Cold Brew Coffee + Chocolate Puddin’ Cake with Chocolate Chips

The bright and crisp body of cold brew coffee helps balance out the rich and decadent flavors of Ne-Mo’s chocolate flavored treats.

8 ounces whole coffee beans
8 cups filtered water

Coffee grinder
2 (3-quart) jars with lids
Rubber band

  1. Grind the coffee beans until they are coarsely ground. Depending on the size of your coffee grinder, you may need to grind the beans in several batches. The coffee should look like the grains of raw sugar.
  2. Add the coffee grinds to a 3-quart jar and pour in the water. Stir to thoroughly combine.
  3. Cover the jar with a lid and refrigerate overnight (18 – 24 hours).
  4. Strain the coffee concentrate by lining a small fine-mesh strainer with cheesecloth and securing it with a rubber band. Place the strainer over a large measuring cup. Slowly pour in the coffee through the strainer and then transfer to a fresh jar for long-term storage.
  5. To serve, fill an 8-ounce glass halfway with ice and pour in the coffee concentrate. Add a splash of milk to temper the bite of strong coffee.

Pro tip: the cold brew makes the perfect base for a long list of coffee drinks. Simply add flavoring syrups, whip cream, and sprinkles of cinnamon to give it a distinctive flavor.
