Voluntary Product Recall Information

HORIZON FOOD Group RECALLS Select PACKAGES OF NE-MO’S INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED CAKE SQUARES DUE TO POTENTIAL FOREIGN MATERIAL PRESENCE

Products sold at convenience stores

SAN DIEGO, California – Horizon Food Group is initiating a voluntary recall of select packages of single serve Ne-Mo’s Cake Squares (Red Velvet, Vanilla Birthday Cake and Chocolate Cake varieties) sold at convenience stores due to the possibility of extraneous foreign material in the product, which could present a choking hazard. There is no potential bacterial or viral contamination. No reports of illness or injury have been associated with these products. The company received consumer feedback about a single cake square product, identified the issue and, out of an abundance of caution, opted to recall all varieties that were on the same production line.

This recall only involves individually wrapped 3-oz packages of the Red Velvet, Vanilla Birthday Cake and Chocolate Cake varieties of Ne-Mo’s Cake Squares containing the following Lot Code and UPC Codes. No other Ne-Mo or Horizon Food Group products are involved.
